About us

We believe the most important person in coffee is the one who grows it.

Rewriting the Narrative of African Coffee.

Kenya produces some of the most complex, celebrated Arabica in the world. Bright acidity, deep fruit, layers that serious coffee drinkers travel to find. The farmers behind that coffee sit at the bottom of a value chain that has always taken more from them than it gives back.

Sanaa Roast was built on a different premise. We work toward forward-buying before harvest, so farmers can plan their operations, cover costs, and grow without the uncertainty that forces compromise. We source from Kenya, and we take the relationships seriously enough to make them last.

This is not a marketing position. It is the reason the company exists.

The cup reflects the relationship.

We source Grade-1 Arabica from high-altitude farms where volcanic soil, cool temperatures, and careful farming produce flavour profiles that cannot be manufactured. We roast in Nairobi, with precision, to honour what the farmer grew.

Three single-origin coffees, sold in 250g, 500g, and 1kg formats. No blends designed to hide inconsistency. No filler. What you taste is a direct expression of a specific place and the person who tended it.

Value addition is our mission.
